Yorkshire Tea needed a new product innovation that would get younger people buying and using their products. I had noticed at work that people would bring tea bags in from home with them becasue they didn't really like the tea we had at work and I even met people who would take tea bags to a cafe with them and ask simply for hot water. They would carry these tea bags in little pouches or just loose in their bags so I had the idea to create a bespoke tin made to fit the size and proportions of the Yorkshire Tea bag. The personal portable tea caddy would reinforce the Yorkshire Tea 'proper brew' message by telling customers to make sure they take their proper brew with them, wherever they go. The product would be given away free in packs of Yorkshire Tea.
The product will be supported with posters and pre run ads on youtube in the style of 'life changing' infomercial products. The campaign could also be complemented with TV advertising in a cinema verite style where as people are candidly filmed using the tin in public whilst avoiding suspicion of others around them.
